Solana & Staking Glossary

Plain-English definitions of the terms you'll meet when buying and staking $1WIN.

Solana

A high-speed public blockchain with low fees. 1WIN is built on Solana.

SOL

Solana's native coin, used to pay network fees and to swap for tokens like $1WIN.

SPL token

The token standard on Solana, similar to ERC-20 on Ethereum. $1WIN is an SPL token.

Mint address (contract address, CA)

The unique on-chain address that identifies a token. The only reliable way to tell the real $1WIN from fakes.

Mint authority

The permission to create new tokens. Revoking it fixes supply permanently.

Freeze authority

The permission to freeze tokens in a wallet. Revoking it means nobody can freeze your $1WIN.

DEX

Decentralised exchange: a smart contract where users swap tokens directly from their wallets.

Liquidity pool

A pool of two tokens (e.g. SOL and $1WIN) that lets people trade on a DEX.

LP tokens / LP lock

Tokens representing a share of a liquidity pool. Locking them stops the liquidity being withdrawn.

Slippage

The difference between the expected price of a swap and the price you actually get.

Staking

Locking tokens in a program to earn rewards. In 1WIN, stakers share a fixed rewards pool.

Emission

The amount of reward tokens released over a period.

APY / APR

Annual percentage yield / rate. For 1WIN it is variable, so no fixed figure is promised.

Vesting

A schedule that releases tokens gradually. 1WIN team tokens vest over 36 months.

Cliff

A period at the start of vesting during which no tokens unlock. 1WIN's team cliff is 12 months.

Multisig

A wallet that needs several people to approve a transaction.

Recovery phrase (seed phrase)

The 12 or 24 words that control a wallet. Never share them.

Rug pull

A scam where creators drain liquidity or dump tokens. Locked liquidity and vesting reduce this risk.

Wallet drainer

A malicious site that tricks you into signing a transaction that empties your wallet.

Market cap

Token price multiplied by circulating supply.
